Is it true that poison arrow frogs are non-toxic in captivity?

Also, is it alright to house different species of poison arrow frog together, as long as they are the same size and need same conditions? Thanks.

  1. sorry u shouldnt mix species due to stress and bacterial/parasitic/disease transfer (just because one animal is immune to the disease/bacteria/parasite it carries it can still make other species in the tank ill or dead)


  2. everything you said is correct captive bred dart frogs are not poisonous. dart frogs get their toxins from the insects they eat in the wild. the crickets and fruit fly we feed them in captivity do not have these toxins  so even a wild dart frog that is toxic enough to kill you would lose its toxicity on a captive  diet fairly quickly.
