Question:

Is it true that popping or picking your acne/pimples makes them worse?

Well. I was just wondering cause some people say it does. They say that when you pop them, they end up 2 times worse and they say it could also spread.

I'm not sure, because some people tell people wth acne to pop them. I have no idea, it's confusing.

Thanks for your time and effort to help! I appreciate it!

  1. Well for the most part if you pick at them or squeeze them it isn't good. It can spread (the puss is bacteria) or scab and scar.

If you have a painful pimple or a large white head you can release the puss by gently sticking a clean needle in the center -

and a hot compress should help the pressure - and aid in healing -

it's also best to use acne medication for your face instead of things like visine or toothpaste.

  2. yesh it does.

    it hard not to!

  3. Yes it,s true you are releasing billions of bacteria onto the surrounding skin you also run the risk of leaving a permanent scar

  4. Hey

Yeah, picking, pinching or popping will spread the bacteria from the spot to other places on your face - could cause further outbreaks and could also force the bacteria further into the pore, making it last longer and take longer to heal.

    GOOD LUCK
