Money is the key motivator in society. Doing "anything" to get it thats another question. What is "anything". Would you go kill yourself to let your family live rich? Would you go rob a bank to buy a new porche etc. It depends on what the situation is.

For the most part yes.   Unless it is something extreme that they must do then probably not.  Then you have people who don't want to work, but will try everything else to earn a dollar.  It really depends on the person.   They say money doesn't buy happiness, but I don't believe that.  I sure would be happy if my employer said hey we are doubling your pay.

People do work for money, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they will do anything for money.

People like to do things for their reasons not yours! They are motivated by their personal interest. You may have heard this referred to as the “What’s In It For Me?” syndrome; and Most people resist being “told” what to do or persuaded to do things, but they do like to learn what to do and how to do it.
