Is it true that prevalence of pornography in a society lowers birthrates?

someone told me that they did a study in japan to explain its declining birthrate, if anyone can point me to a link to that study that would be appreciated.

  1. Yeah, and did you know that they've found that when ice cream sales rise, crime rates go up?  (Seriously.)

    Lots of other variables are at play.  Don't assume a causal relationships.  Heck, maybe they watch more p**n BECAUSE there's fewer kids running around.


  2. Well it would make a lot of sense Guy.  Who would want to have or  bring up children after watching and seeing that x*x rated perversion???  Most of the best p**n stars are very young you know. Hello?

  3. I'm not aware of it; but in general settled societies have both lower birthrates and pornography.  I'm not convinced the two are causally related.

    It has been shown that introducing electric light and TV dramatically lowers birthrates.
