Is it true that putting on eyeliner is bad for your eyes?

Question

i put liquid eyeliner on the fleshy part almost touching your lower eye (i've heard some people call it your waterline.)

is htis bad for your eyes? is pencil eyeliner better or worse?

oh and ever since i started wearing eyeliner, my contacts seem to burn/itch when i put them in (i clean them very well, so it's not becuase they're dirty)

can anyone help me please?

If it hurts, try using it on your lashline instead of directly on your waterline. It'll keep it from getting in your eye, & it won't smudge as much from your tears. Also, try using other companies to see if you just happen to be allergic to the one you're using right now. Oh, & if you keep tugging on your lids while you apply eyeliner, it will cause it to sag and wrinkle when you're older, so use a cotton swab to help hold on to your eyelids while you put it on.
