  1. no, im middle class and everyone i know who is middle class (the working class) votes republican

    heres the difference

republicans let you keep the money you earn

democrats take your money and give it to the people who dont want to work

  2. No it is more harder than that. You have your far right, your conservatives your neo cons and your moderates and even a few far lefts.

Most of the Republicans are conservative in that they believe in smaller government, lower taxes, fiscal responsability and allowing small businesses to grow.

Up until the late sixties many of the Democrats where conservative. However over the past few years the party has been taken over by the far left. In where they beleive the government should handle everything.

  3. the only actual difference is high taxes for dems and low taxes for the republicans. dems usually favor abortion, new energy sources, illegal immigration, welfare, and new health care system while reps favor building economy, against abortion, finding new energy sources and bringing down cost of oil, against illegal immigration

  4. Not quite that simple. I heard when the partys started repulicans where business men and democrats where farmers. Over time things mangled togther and changed. Hay just what I heard. Later.

  5. Grossly oversimplified... but...

    Yes.

  6. generally speaking republicans are for the rich and democrats are for the poor.  GENERALLY. but both parties have ups and downs. I personally have a general dislike for republicans. I know im not just being judgmental. I don't like them before I find out they're republicans. My suggestion would be to weigh both sides before you plae any votes.

  7. What's a rebublican?

  8. You basically summed it up. The poor, just so you know, encompasses the working class and the middle class.

  9. Scap has the right idea in general- Dems pander to the poor and disadvantaged to get their votes.  They believe in big government-read "higher taxes, more spending".  They want to control the programs and the money.  In contrast the Rep believe in smaller government, more local control.  They do promote business large and snall because they provide employment for the very people who need help.  The rich already pay the lion's share of taxes.  There are radicals on both sides and this partisanship stops congress from getting anything done.

  10. Far too much of an oversimplification. If so why are the richest people in congress all Democrats?

  11. yes

  12. Your statement is a grand generalization, but generally, I think democrats have more compassion toward the lower-class and support a greater amount of government intervention in order to help people.

Republicans generally want less government intervention and have a more conservative nature about them (hence, being conservatives).

It's also pretty natural for young people to be liberal democrats, and some people get more conservative as they age.  Naturally, you will have more wealth as you age (in general) so I guess it makes sense in that respect, as well.

  13. No. Democrats like to raise taxes and build more government programs to "help" people who don't go to school, or work. They want everyone to be "equal".

Republicans promote lowering taxes and making a smaller government, so that you are given more economic freedoms. If you go to school and work, you will get a lot of money. If you are a bum, the government does not give handouts. They do provide for a safety net does anything go wrong, rather than the Democratic idea of living off the government for your whole life if anything goes wrong. They promote individualism which is economic freedom.

Democrats are for the lazy poor, who want a free ride for the government and the ultra-rich Hollywood who don't mind paying heavy taxes because "everyone should have money, even if it comes from the pockets who earn it, to those who did not stand up and work to become successful."

Republicans are for the Middle Class who don't want to pay heavy taxes; the upper-middle class who create small buisnesses which boost our economy and create jobs; and the rich who don't want the money they worked towards their whole life be taken away from the government just for being successful. These rich invest in our country, but cannot invest as much if the government is taking it all away.

  14. No; that just rhetoric.  Both are for the rich and the poor, they just go about it in a different manner.

Republicans support the poor by supporting business thus making jobs; Democrats by giving handouts.

  15. Republicans have the money to con you into giving them more and being happy about it

Democrats aim at everyone first being able to live decently, then the rich can have as much as they like afterwards

    Republicans will talk about money

    Democrats will talk about people

  16. Here it is

    Both are money hungry wolfs.

Republicans will use you and move on.

Democrats will use you and pat you on the head before moving on.

  17. No. Republicans are for the idea that everyone should be free to try to make as much money as they want. They believe the poor should work hard to become rich.

Democrats try to pretend that they are like Robin Hood. In their view, the rich do not deserve to be so, and should be forced to give their money to the poor.

In summary: Republicans are for the idea that you should be ALLOWED to become rich. Democrats are for the idea that no one should be allowed to be poor.
