I think that the red dresses originated in France. it is very fashionable, although, I myself am sticking with ivory. ( and I am doing a French theme...lol )

Well...I am a European and I have yet to see anyone wear anything other than white, ivory or pale pink.

Yep, it certainly is true! And you don't have to worry about the whole "white is for virgins" deal. White wedding dresses weren't the norm until the Victorian age, and then it was only to show off how rich you were. White fabric was extremely hard to make then, so you had to have lots of money to be able to afford to buy a white dress that you would never wear again. And in China, red is the color of happiness and has been used in wedding ceremonies for centuries.

Yes it's true.  European brides wear lots of color.  They think we Americans are a litte crazy to be so white happy.  White really isn't the color that looks the best.  It's just tradition.  You can wear whatever color you want.  Why don't you call a bridal consultant?  They know everything about bridalwear.
