Its an attraction for some and a distraction for others.  More westerners have helped the poor of Thailand to stay alive and prosper because of their generosity that Thailand has itself.  The rich Chinese Thai merchants and politicians that run Bangkok give to old 500 baht a month, farming 1 rai of land earns 3000 baht and you can pick up odd jobs for 150-200 baht a day.   The poor can send their daughter down to Pattaya and she earns  20-30,000 baht a month or more.  

If people are so worried about the s*x trade why not stop complaining about how horrible it is and do tell what you would do to replace it?  Its estimated that approximately 450,000 Thais go to prostitutes every day and approximately 30,000 foreigners.  The average Thai pays 200-250 baht and a foreigner pays 1,500 to 3,500 baht.

Why would those men spend at least 2 days travelling on the air plane plus over $ 1,000 for the ticket to just having s*x in Thailand. They can do it in their bedroom with their GF, wife, playmate, female friends or whomever.

Thailand have many others better attractions than s*x.

- most friendly people

- nice beaches

- fine tradition and culture

- low cost of living

- great shopping at reasonable price

Thoundsand people cme to Thailand and want to live here for live.

Come and see by yourself, you will undesrstand why Thailand painted with s*x.

You need at least 15-30 days to roughly discover Thailand.

Only if you're that kind of person. Thailand is a wonderful country. Great food, beaches, shopping, nightlife, etc... I highly recommend going.

All said and done, it is one of the main attraction for a guy.  Men with wives and kids may not agree but when they go to Thailand with their families must be regretting that why they did not come alone there.

I never seen tourist standing around and looking at anyone have s*x.  I don't think it's an attraction.  It may be an adventure.
