  1. Can't say I've hear "jag-wire". I've heard "jag-u-ar" too. Sounds a little bit remedial like that doesn't it?


  2. Jaguar is a English word from England and British Motor company. We pronounce it JAG-U-ARE. Only Yanks, yank wannabes and idiots would pronounce it any other way.

  5. In the UK we say Jag-you-uh, because that's what we call the animal.  Don't know if that helps at all, or if that's what you mean!  I've never heard anyone say Jag-wire though - maybe people hear someone say jag-wahr and don't realise that they're saying it wrong, like aks or nucular.
