  1. Hmmmmm.  I have no idea and am puzzled.   I don't consider her to be very dark.   I do think she is gorgeous as is.  I've been sweet on her for a long time.  I don't think it would matter to me one way or the other if she was darker or lighter than she is.

  2. My experience in Colombia suggests that she would not have been as successful there as she has been in the US.

  3. Jennifer Lopez is "dark"???

First of all she utilizes bronzer to give her that tan look. She is really pale in person (I've seen her in person). Look at her sister Lynda Lopez (television reporter). They both have the same parents and Lynda is also pale.

Second talent is all that matters in entertainment. Josephine Baker made it in France.  Will Smith is big in Latin America and so is Denzel Washington.  Color lines in Latin America only apply to class structure and it is only applied in certain countries such as Haiti and Brazil.  Jennifer would have made it due to her talent and her looks.

  4. There is racism in Latin America, however, whether J-Lo is dark is a diffrent opinion. According to both Latin American and U.S. standards I wouldn't consider her white (Latinos are usually considered non-white in the U.S.) However, in Latin America i think she would have "made it", regardless of her color.

  5. I think she's "light" enough, as long as she didn't tan, she probably would've made it.

But look at Spanish TV, its obvious lighter skin is preferable.

  6. J.L. ain't dark lady!! She's in between. Brown. Does color have to do if you are bloody talented?? Those who say that are full of c**p. Maybe they don't have any inkling of what talent is.
