  1. All I know is "Bodies" by Drowning Pool was banned from the radio after 9/11.

  2. Yes and no.

After 9/11 there was a list of some songs not suggested for radio.  Some plane songs were included.

  3. yes...it can intefere with FCC regualtions, and also the airlines were up in arms about that.....

  4. not here in the states,, there never was an order issued about flying in a song,,, there have been hundreds and even bands like jefferson airplane, Elton johns Daniel, whiney houston,  oh man id hate to count,,, but on top 40 in the midwest we never heard a thing about it,,,,

  5. There has been no ban on what to play except for obscene material in the US, however after 9/11 stations kind of cut back on some of their songs they were playing that could be offensive to 9/11 victims are considered bad taste. Most stations now 6 years out aren't limiting their playlist for that anymore except maybe around New York and WashingtonDC

and to the other poster... Drowning pool's "Bodies" might have been banned at your radio station or one you listen to, But it's actually a very popular song and might have been limited after 9/11.. it is now a very frequently played recurrant track in the nation
