.........the traditional footballs used in Aussie Rules football to the better quality balls now used in rugby league.

I've heard where the AFL administration is so impressed with the better kicking performances on the ARL fields that they want to improve the kicking in the AFl to try & bring it up to the rugby league standard.

Is this true, do you know?

  1. Well it should be true ....even if it isn't!

I'd suggest you give up trying to post humorous questions in this section. You will only receive abuse because you are only allowed to make posts that are in agreeance with Ms RR, the controller of this site, and no way critical of AFL in any way.

  2. maybe they might...the shape of the ball is exactly the same as a rugby league supporters head.

The AFL players would love to kick THAT ball around - as hard as possible.

  3. Of course, Rugby League players are now using the drop punt, which they learnt from the AFL.

A number of AFLplayers are now playing American football just because they kick the ball so well.

I do remember a rugby league player, Mark Harris, who could kick the ball a long way and played American football in the 1970s. Such a waste he didn't play real football.

  4. What? I don't understand your humor.

You gave me a best answer yesterday, but I still don't understand the point of your questions.

Maybe you accidentally didn't click on rugby league for your forum?

  5. No. Not true.

Careful when asking such questions in here. They go over most heads & they get upset because they think you are being serious!!

  6. Nah, the AFL will never match the ARL in kicking skills - no matter what ball they use.
