Sitting Downie uh.....down sounds like the right thing to do but I'd throw him out there anyway because of his upside. Lots of players make mistakes that don't result in goals. I can understand why people want him benched, and maybe I'm just in a good mood because ordinarily I'd say send him back to the Phantoms.

As for Coburn, I haven't heard anything officially, but I think he'll show up in a football helmet.

Primeau should get the start over Downie.  As for Coburn, he may want to play but that will be up to the doctors to dertermine.

i think it's about time he pulled downie (who i like by the way), but he's making mistakes that are costing his team...aside from that late hit on sykora (i'm not going to laugh at the retaliation :)).

and i'm going to refrain from providing an answer to your wishful thinking of the past. good luck with that. i'm still trying to go back to a time before i was born when the leafs were actually good.

and also brayden's eye has been shut since the accident and anyone who thought he'd be playing last game/tonight is not human. he's a tough kid and he would probably be in this game if everything was his way, but it's not and his eye is still shut like a new born baby. amen.

Anyway, in practice yesterday, Stevens changed 2 lines around. He separated Prospal and The Midget, err, Briere. Coburn will indeed be a close to game time decision.

So the altered lines in practice were:

Lupul-Prospal-Umberger

Richards-Briere-Upshall

Actually, it is not Keith Primeau who's suiting up tonight it is Mark Howe.  He's in town doing advanced scouting for the Red Wings.  I was over at Forman Mills this morning and they were there picking up one of his old sweaters for him to wear.
