  1. No, because it is mostly organic pollution.  That is, excess organix compounds like sewage, as opposed to industrial chemicals which would act like a poison.  The Ganges is like a giant, constantly-refreshed supply of Miracle Grow for bacteria.


  2. It's possible, but remember a bacterium harmful to a native American may have no effect on a native Hindu.

  3. I wouldn't be surprised because the Indians wash, p**p, and throw their dead into it.  Also they water their cows and let them p**p into it.  It is pretty much a bacteria stew flowing through India.
