Is it true that the IRS is actually part of the IMF, not the US government?

I heard this somewhere and it sounds implausible. I checked a few sites, like wiki, but obviously that's not reliable info.

The IRS is one bureau of the U.S Department of Treasury.  The U.S. Department of Treasury is headed by the Commissioner.  As part of the executive branch, the Commissioner reports to the President.  The IMF is not a U.S. government agency and it does not report to the U.S. president.  You can find out more about the IRS here: http://www.irstaxtrouble.com/internal_re...
