If it is true, what would 300 Billion do for our public services each year if you pulled out of the EU?

  1. However much we pay is too much! We should quit this costly club pronto.

  2. Four billion what?

    Economic Migrants?

    Seems like it . . .

  3. yep.. that's about right.. now you know why joining the EU was a huge mistake.

  4. I woud say that is true!I have never heard a politician answer that!

  5. No, £300bn would be close to 50% of annual government expenditure in the UK. It would be totally unaffordable.

Currently, net payments from the UK to the EU are probably roughly £3.5bn per year.

  6. not sure of exact figures, but yeah thats about right

  7. No that's not true

  8. Because of the rebate we pay less than germany, france and italy.which is ridiculous we should pay more

  9. no thats not true.  We do get about £4billion back each year in the form of a rebate, otherwise the amount we gave compared to the amount we receive would be hugely disproportional, we still put more into europ than we get back but its a couple of billion not a couple of hundred billion.

  10. The UK pays £11 Billion and gets approximately £6.5 Billion back.  This includes the rebate negotiated.

That £4.5 Billion equals around  .6% of the UK's national budget.

  11. No, after our rebate (6 bn Euros - which the other countries pay for) Britain contributes a little over 8 bn.  This is significantly less than Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
