Is it true that the US limits mexico's military power? if yes why?

If u didnt understand me i meant that if its true that the US only let mexico have a certain amount of weapons or fighter planes and thing like that.

No, they can have whatever they want, they simply don't use a larger enough percentage of their GDP to improve their military, probably because of corruption, and perhaps other social priorities. Plus, they really have no "global' presence, so have no threat facing them, other then internal narco-terrorism.
