  1. No, it is not. Gold would not allow Earth to produce the magnetic field it possesses.

It is much more likely to possess an iron/nickel core. These metals would be sufficient to produce the magnetic field. Also, measurements made put the Earth's average density at way less than it would be if the core was gold.

  2. LOL!

    No.

  3. no its not solid gold....its "liquid hot magma" dr. evil

  4. is isn´t really true...the central of the earth is isn´t made of solid gold....

Most of the Earth's mass is in the mantle, which is composed of iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), aluminum (Al), silicon (Si), and oxygen (O) silicate compounds. At over 1000 degrees C, the mantle is solid but can deform slowly in a plastic manner. The crust is much thinner than any of the other layers, and is composed of the least dense calcium (Ca) and sodium (Na) aluminum-silicate minerals. Being relatively cold, the crust is rocky and brittle, so it can fracture in earthquakes

  5. It is solid iron and nickel.  There are certainly trace amounts of gold and other elements as well.

  6. No, we "know" its an iron/nickel alloy but its just an educated guess

  7. if that were true someone would have found a way to extract it by now. so not true.

  8. No

    solid iron
