I read in the news that the Australian & New Zealand players in the IPL are going to quit the IPL on the first week of May & return back to their home countries for preparation for international tours...what do you make of it? Will the IPL be as exciting as it is now, or will it's quality decline?

  1. There was astory to that effect as the Aussie WI tour is on in May. What I wonder is if the Aussie or any other player has been paid in full, what will happen to the comittment? And if they will have to return the monies.

  2. i have heard absolutely no news of that happening here in australia  as for would the ipl be less interesting bloody oath it would.

  3. It is like a relay. Other foreign players will come in like Gibbs and the rest .

  4. Yes it's true.actually there is a series b/w AUS & WESTINDIES.I don't think that after them IPL will not be exciting or it' quality decline.

  5. The foreign players have been given permission to play in IPL subject to the condition that they should be available to play for their country whenever they are required to. Since Australia are doing West Indies during May, the players from Australia and West Indies will go back to represent their countries.  Same is the case with New Zeland too.  When the foreign players leave, local players will get more chances to play and it will be a boost to them as well as Indian cricket

  6. its true

  7. um sure...

  8. Being an Australian,  I know I won't be watching it.   I'm looking at it like an "us vs them".   But to answer your question,  I've heard that the Australian players will be coming home next week to participate in a week of training  before their tour of the West Indies.

  9. that's really ironic.Very saddest  news.I hope not though.IPL will still run on well but not as exciting as it was till now.Its quality will never decline but some part of entertainment will be lost.I hope that does not happen.

  10. Yes our Aussie boys are coming homw next week to prepare for our tour of West Indies-Yeah!!!
