Is it true that the liffey smells during summer?

I've been to Dublin like17 times but never been there in the summer. Oh and what are the botanic gardens like in de summer? And whats de weather like der now?

  1. yeah it does stink sometimes when the tide goes out and the sun is shining, it's just algae that smells.. like any other river really..but our rivers have shopping trolleys and traffic cones in them so they are unique hahahaha

  2. Yes it is true. The weather is very rain for the time of year. I think this has been the wettest summer on record for a long time.

  3. Yes, the "Sniffy Liffey" smells in summer when the weather is warm enough. And I can tell you this is not that often!! Currently, that's 1 month it's raining every single day ;-p

  4. it smells when the tide is out  and the botanic gardens are beautiful at any time of the year  we are having a louse Summer with the rain but sure its the rain that keeps the 40 shades green
