How long would it take until it starts affecting the ocean-cycles and begins to disrupt patterns of life on the surface?

  1. It is drifting away from earth, but at a fairly slow rate. But within a few lifetimes, the drift should at least be noticeable.

  2. Yes!!!!!!!!!

  3. Hopefully we'll be dead before we have to worry about it.

  4. i am not sure, but I like your question

  5. It is moving farther from earth, but it is not leaving its orbit.  Lacking outside influences, this should continue for another 50 million years or so.  The sun exerts a greater influence on tides than the moon, so a slightly changing orbit of the moon should make little difference on earth.
