i have a ipod video nano 8 gb ( new style) and i have exactly 1194 songs on it. it takes up 4.28 gb of space on my ipod. the battery only lasts me about 3 hrs if i play it non stop. is this normal? for the battery to last me longer, do i need to delete songs from my ipod? i dont really listen to all my artists on my ipod, so this is one of my theories? PLEASEEEEE HELPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. No, you don't those two situations are unrelated. What you need to do is go the apple store and get a new battery, or at least explain this situation to them and see what their suggestion is.

  2. for a hard drive player it may be the case but with flash based memory it will not effect battery life.

  3. Yah try deleting the ones you dont want because the ipod takes more energy in order to scroll and search through all those songs.

    Good Luck!
