Is it true that the planet venus possess great powers?

I've heard many spellcasters believing venus possess great powers for white magic.Attaining its powers and one can do thinks unbelievable.I am just wondering if this is true.

It is not true.  We used to not understand the true nature of the planets and gave them mysterious powers because they wandered across the sky.  We now know that it is an ordinary planet that doesn't have any direct effect on anything on Earth.  It is just based in mythology that thought the sky was centered about the Earth.

It is not the planet which is supposed to possess the power but rather the Goddess herself.  It is in the nature of deities to possess great powers.

Okay lets get something straight. this is ASTRONOMY... science... not astrology... not mythology.... not fake.... real. venus is a PLANET! unless you are talking about the supposed god, but in that case you want another section. this is the science section.

Actually Venus, in many ancient cultures, was the original "death star."  Its location in certain parts of the sky, would be interpreted as ill omens.
