I was just wondering becuase I'm kind of short and I lost a lot of weight. My period wasn't as bad and it didn't last as long as it did before I lost the weight.

  1. Completely false. Whatever size you are, your period could be heavy or light. The only reason your period may be shorter is because since you lost weight, your period can be delayed so I guess right when you lose the weight a side effect could be a shorter period that first time. But to answer your question, whether you are petite or full-sized your periods can be heavy or light and anything in the middle!

  2. i really doubt it

  3. Nope. I'm 5'1, 110lbs, and my period lasts 7-10 days...heavy.

  4. The smaller or skinnier you are, the shorter and lighter your period is. This is because your body might not have enough energy/fat to use up on your period. (It takes a lot of fat from your body.)

  5. Probably not, no

  6. no. Im 5 feet tall and barely 100 pounds, yet mine are SO heavy and last 8 days.

  7. That is not true in the slightest

  8. No. I'm about 4 feet tall and 75 lbs and my periods last anywhere between 4-8 days.

Ever since I was 12 years old, I've been very regular and I'm 27 years old now. I have only missed my period maybe 4 times during these years.

Your body and genetics will determine how long your periods will last. Not your height. Also each person is different and some months it will be longer or shorter...

  9. no . its not.

  10. course not...height has no relation to periods....

but what you MAYBE  mean ,yes there is truth in losing weight reducing bleeding somewhat, as the female hormone oestrogen  which (in too high a dose), gives rise heavy periods is stored in our fat cells, making periods and pms etc all worse. It also partly explain why ladies with anorexia fails to bleed at all.
