I think there are many that believe this. How many attacks have occurred since 9/11? None. I would say that is a pretty good number. The bad guys are terrorists that do not desire land, money, or power. They solely want to kill and torture American citizens. This means everyone and our children as well.

I don't think they "saved us from the bad guys" but I laud them for responding to the attack on 9/11 and for at least beginning the process of draining that dank swamp of tyranny that has been the Middle East for far too long.  The good people of that region deserve freedom and self-determination just as much as everyone else.  It is high time we stopped ignoring the threat of Radical Islam and began to pull that evil weed out by its roots.

You may have been too young to remember 9/11 well, but I remember Bush saying that whoever did this to our country was going to be held accountable.  All of the democrats agreed.
