  2. ummm...no there is no such thing...if there was you would know about it..think about it do you ever remember a day and night where the whole thing was pitch black

  3. in certain places in the world this is true..Northern alaska for example is dark for like 5-6 months straight

  4. Yes, there is, in Alaska, and I believe in northern Canada as well. It gets dark, but it's not pitch black like in the middle of night.

  5. Sure, close to the North pole in December/January and close to the South pole in June/July.

  6. above the arctic circle I'm sure there is a latitude that has  30 days of night.  At the pole itself it should be dark 3 to 6 months out of the year. due to slight varriations in the orbit, tilt, and spin of the earth its not exact.

  7. If you're located within one of the pole circles, then yes. The poles themselves actually go 6 months through light, and then through 6 months of darkness. It is because of the tilt of the Earth's axis.
