I read that somewhere as a fun fact but I cannot believe that that is possibly true, because the number of grains of sand must by in the quadrillions. Please answer if you know if this is true.

  1. You may have read my answers or questions due to i have said this many of times and yes it is true there are more stars than grains of sand on the whole earth not even including the planets so see u nor me could ever grasps the size of our universe it is a very large and mysterious place

  2. trekythorne sayd:

in our galaxy alone there are over 208 billion stars. so if there are over 28 Galaxy's and an infinite space for more the possibility's are endless

the stars on the galacy may be right, but there are more galaxys out there than there are stars in our galaxy, so that makes an incredible number, the only problem is only your deity of choice knows how many grains of sand there is on this planet.

  3. it is true, but you can only see a tiny fraction of them. there are millions of stars in our galaxy alone, and there are millions of galaxies in the universe.

  4. The number of grains of sand on Earth is huge, but not infinite.

The number of stars in the sky (if you count galaxies we can see and ones we can't) is estimated to be infinite (there is an infinite number of galaxies, therefore an infinite number of stars).

Infinite is greater than any number that is not infinite.

  5. only GOD knows for sure

  6. I beleave it to be true... if the universe is truly infinite, then there must be more in an uinfinite setting (sky) then the limited setting (earth)

  7. Yes we live in an infinite universe.

  8. in our galaxy alone there are over 208 billion stars. so if there are over 28 Galaxy's and an infinite space for more the possibility's are endless
