Is it true that there is no light outside of Christ, are all other ways and understandings false?

To me I would say yes, there is just one light. I think to say you can create your own light or rely on another being other than God for your revelation, your vision, is a great mistake. We (as humans) constantly do this whether meaning to or not as we try to comprehend what is right or wrong in a rapidly changing world. Some try stars, some try numbers, some try computers for "answers" but ultimately only God can SHOW you what is real. You can hear what red, green, yellow, ect looks like all day long, but until it is SHOWN to you I believe you are at a lost for the beauty that surrounds you in Christ. For once I was blind but now I see....any rebuttals?

Jesus was put to death because he said he was God and the only way. His resurrection from the dead, which was witnessed by over 500 people, proved that He is God and the only way.

Have you personally experienced all other ways and understandings? Have you researched many religions and understood their teachings, beliefs, and how they see the world? Have you read many different religious texts, made the time to understand the different deities even if you didn't pray to them yourself? If not, can you honestly say that there is one true way and the others are false? How, if you have not experienced them, at least to some degree? How can you say a way is false if you do not know that way, or where it leads?

What if deity shows everyone a different thing?

Everyone has to their own beliefs, and who is to say that yours are any better than anyone else's?  The teachings of jesus are Buddhist and ancient Greek philosophy.  Therefore, the "light of christ" can easily be found else where.  What is right for one person, is not necessarily going to be right for someone else, and to think that your religion is right for EVERYBODY is very conceited.  Live and let live.

My life is just fine and happy, as is a lot of people, theists and atheists alike, without the "light of jesus" in it.

Jesus amde it clear that his signle life and his single death of the cross was the only way to be saved, and was the one and only sacrifice for all sin. He paid our debt  once  - and for all

What Jesus taught contradicts other relgions and everything else, so either Jesus was the son of God in the flesh, a mad man or a liar.

He obviously wasn't Buddha or anything else like that, (jsut look at how he acted and what He said! and what He did!)
