  1. Yep, The Autobahn has no speed limit (only in certain parts).

  2. They don't have a NUMERIC speed limit.  But it is still illegal to drive dangerously, and it's the cop's judgment as to what is dangerous.  They just don't have an arbitrary number.

some parts of the autobanh only.

  3. The Autobahn

  4. that's true on the autobahn

I don't know if it is in germany though, somewhere in Europe.

  5. Actually Wyoming and Montana all have posted speed limits to meet guidelines for Federal Highway money so there are no more pedal to the metal places int eh US.

  6. Well, I think it's true they don't have a POSTED speed limit there, but if you take a super-car out and do 300 mph  and endanger other drivers, then you will get a major ticket from the Germans! Same with western United states, they have certain areas that have no posted limits, but if you endanger other drivers by driving way too fast, then they WILL stop and ticket you! So it's not truly "unlimited"...however, the Utah Salt flats is a park area, and it's legal to drive on it when it's solid, people have gone out and floored their cars/trucks/motorcycles, etc. and it's perfectly legal, from what little i know of it, as it's 7-8 miles long or more? Not sure exactly. Another thing you can engage in is the Nevada Silver State Challenge race in the USA, I think they run it twice a year, it's a 75 mile open road race, with no speed limits. There are different classes, costs about $300? dollars to enter, and your car must pass a safety inspection. I want to try that myself, in a modified AMC Gremlin, some day. :)
