Is it true that there will be no dot mark in pure flat TV?

SONY dealers warn customer that there is no dot mark in screen of pure flat tv.Normally its seen in all kind of brand flat tv except SONY that two white dot mark is placed in middle of two side of picture screen and it is visible.SONY authority says that as there is no dot mark in their product ,SONY is pure flat tv and other which contain dot mark are not flat tv.

Would you tell me that this logic is true?
