  1. at the moment of sunset and sunrise ,it is a few miles west or east

  2. Sure!  One day changes to the next at the international date line (180 00 W) So, when midnight (2400) approaches that imaginary line the next morning (0001) is on the western side.  If you move that time back to sunset then late afternoon is actually right next to it.

In fact, if and when you fly (and I did it for 40 years) you can see where day ends and night begins; it's called the "Terminator" and it is a line that is clearly visible marking the onset of night.

So, yes there is a place, but it is moving constantly as the earth rotates.

  3. It's also much more obvious around the equator since the sun vanishes over the horizon so quickly.

  4. The Arctic Circle and Antarctic Circles are the cutoff latitudes for continuous nightfall and daylight.

On Dec. 21, the Arctic Circle is fully covered in 24 hour darkness...barely, as the sun hovers just below the horizon.  A few miles south of there may allow you to experience some daylight above the horizon while the Arctic Circle remains dark.
