  1. I've been to Torrevieja twice now and never had any problems,it is a nice place-a little run down in areas but so are a lot of tourist resorts along that coast. The people are lovely, great weather and lots to see and do.

  2. Not as much as Glasgow lol

  3. Crime rate in Spain is lower than countries like USA, so don't worry.

  4. Más hay en EE.UU,asi que,no problem.,,Don´t worry...be happy..jaja..xD

  5. In comparison to other parts of Spain, yes the crime rate is higher. Having said that if you take reasonable precautions you should have no problems. Leaving an open handbag about, falling through the streets really drunk could be an invitation to certain types of people to steal your purse/wallet/passport. Otherwise have a great time and stay safe!

  6. Ive been to 8 different places in Spain and never once had any problems or witnessed any crime other than drunk idiot Englishmen fooling around!!

So do not worry about anything like that, you'll have a great time ^_^

  7. Torrevieja is no more or less safer than any other town. Just be aware of your wallet/purse and don´t leave your handbag open or slung on your shoulder with it towards your back as there are pickpockets everywhere! (I had mine picked in London)

I have lived in Spain 17 years and have heard of many thefts, (even helped translate at the police station on occasion) but nothing has ever happened to me personally or my family.

But the rules are easy, don´t get drunk and wander the streets late at night, opportunists are everywhere. Don't carry your worldly possessions with you, like lots of money, passport etc. Snatches happen sometimes. House break ins usually occur when foreigners have just arrived within the first few days whilst they are still relaxed and not aware of their surroundings etc. After saying all that, please don´t think Spain is a crime ridden country worse than the one you live in, it´s not!! Come and have a great holiday.
