i know it all sounds really far-fetched and stupid, but i've read somewhere....3 times actually.....that one term in universities in england is 2 months long.

so that's 4 months in one academic year.

  1. I go to uni in England. I start my final year soon. My  first semester starts on 29th September and ends 12th December. The 2nd semester is from 19th January till 29th May. We get 3 weeks off during 2nd semester as well!

  2. No that is not true.

Teaching in Semester 1 runs from the end of September to the end of December (12 weeks with a Xmas break).

Teaching in Semester 2 runs from the end of January until the beginning of May (12 weeks, with an Easter break).
