  1. like BADUY?

  2. Yes, some Visayan words have become part of the Filipino/Tagalog dialects.  Example: buang (fool), guapa (pretty/beautiful), maldita (naughty), eskuwelahan (school), tambok (fat) etc.

It is titindog (about to stand) unless you are already standing and your usage of tindog is correct. hahaha......

Have you heard this?  Inuusap kita, di mo ako nadungog.  Bakit? Sira man siguro ang tenga mo.  lol...

  3. titindig ako sa upoan para makakita ako ng parada..

  4. lol... I do think so.

Me and my friends used to say things like...

gi-ano mo na naman yan? (what did you do with that)

asa ka magpunta? (where are you going?)

nagkain na kami ganiha ... the use of 'nag' instead of 'ku' in kain (we already ate earlier)

naunsa pala yan? (what happened with that?)

These words were often used so interchangeably that sometimes we still use 'em even if we are talking to tagalog people...lol

  5. it's about time!  with so many bisdak in the philippines, it's high time some of our words make it to the dictionary.

  6. "Sinabing wag lumabang, tumabok. Tingnan, naligsan tuloy."

  7. I've heard some use "butang" or in tagalog "lagay" like p**i-butang or p**i-lagay.

Some visayan words are now widely used i guess.

    * I also hear buang a lot. I only found out today that it's visaya.hehe

  8. Kakanta ba ang BAYOT..........Bay?

  9. zzz... yes... allan, kumusta lagay mo?

i mean "lagay" in visayan. ^_____^

    hmmm... beer... zzz...

  10. ahahah, in one way or another... as in:

"tumingin ka muna sa kaliwa't kanan bago ka tumabok"

    tabok = cross the street

  11. It's true.  I heard a lot of  Visayan words interpolated within Tagalog/Filipino statement/question which  go like these:

*Habang sinusubay ko ang kalsada,  pinagpawisan ako ng malalaking singot.

(While I was traversing the highway I sweated a lot(big)

    * Bakit hindi ka naglung-ig, eh marami naman tayong bigis dyan.(why you didnt cook when we have  so much rice there)

*Paano ako  maglung-ig wala namang kihoy.(How can I cook , when  there's no firewood).

  12. Nakuratan uli, bay!

    It's so true. Bay!
