  1. Yes, my friend, Chinatown has a lot of fake stuff.

    Good luck

  2. Yes, you have NO idea.

    All over the place.

  3. mott st. canal st.

    but they are not good quality at all.

  4. Yes! But remember you get what you pay for.

    I once bought a Movado watch for US$25.00 and and a little over 6 months the gold started to rub off. I could have added US$5.00 to it and got me a nice Timex instead and have it to this day.

    Just keep a good eye out as someone may try to sell you fake for the real if they think they can trick you.

  5. Chinatown's Canal Street especially is full of vendors selling fake handbags, watches, perfumes, and DVDs.  If you walk down that street, every two seconds someone will offer to sell you those things.  "Rolex, mister?  Handbag?  Chanel #5?"

    Many visitors to New York do buy them, but keep in mind that you can get in trouble at customs if you buy them, and the quality of the counterfeit stuff is likely to be very low.  You might wind up with a watch that doesn't work, a perfume made from water and food coloring, or a DVD that is low quality and missing scenes.

  6. Also because of law enforcement crackdowns, many of these vendors now sell in basements and back alleys. There will be a woman on the street saying "HANDBAG, HANDBAG" with a flier showing what she's selling. Then she will lead tourists to follow her, a complete stranger, down into a basement of some building. The tourists are always giddy about their upcoming purchases. To me, following a stranger into a basement is crazy. From time to time, tourists have been trapped in the underground stores when the stores have been targeted by the police and the bag sellers keep the tourists trapped.  Not how I'd want to spend my vacation - stuck in a basement with 1,000 fake Luis Vutone, DOIR, and Goach bags (misspellings on purpose - have you seen those bags?)

  7. I can't advocate buying any of that stuff.   It's poor quality, the vendors are not paying taxes on their earnings and you are compromising the brand's integrity.  Sorry.

  8. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    && i love it

    i got a coach wallet there and i swear to god it looks like the real thing

    and a lot of the stuff there looks exact

    you should definitely go there!!
