  1. I never heard that one

  2. Doctors do not always know what causes a stone to form. While certain foods may promote stone formation in people who are susceptible, scientists do not believe that eating any specific food causes stones to form in people who are not susceptible.

I have had a kidney stone before and mine was made up of Calcium, i passed it and they analyzed it,  i was told to cut down on dairy products,  and to answer your question, i doubt it very much that it will.

  3. No.  Actually, the calcium in the ice cream would help inhibit any stone forming potential associated with the oxalates in certain teas.

p.s. the doctor that advised the other answerer to avoid dairy is a quack!  Dairy is high in calcium.  High calcium intake may help to prevent calcium stone formattion because the calcium binds oxalates in the intestinal tract - preventing the absorption of oxalates.  It is high oxalate levels in the kidneys that tend to drive the formation of most 'calcium' kidney stones.
