When I say "one thing", I mean doing something for hours and hours. I was playing video games with my friends online for five hours one time and I began hearing voices in the back of my head (no, it wasn't the headset).

I think I stayed playing the games so much, that I began to hear sounds from the game as if they were in the real world. When I stopped playing, the sounds vanished.

Anyone ever had this experience? My cousin had the same experience, except he was on his computer all night doing homework (sucks for him!).

  1. Yeah because your mind is so concentrated on the game.

  2. yes, when i first got my computer and Internet i was talking to my best friend a lot, on messenger and when i was going to bed or i was out of the room where my cp was, i kept hearing the ``click`` that sounds when you get a new IM....

  3. That's never happened to me but I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that you're focused on one thing and there's so much movement and activity and sounds going on in the game that your hearing copes with the game and your mind is set on it and subconciously you're hearing those things. You can hallucinate from sleep deprivation also.
