I have been in love twice.

Basically, the way it works is, you fall in love, then if that doesn't work, you may have your heart broken, but that's good too, because it means theres still someone that will come along and fix it, and you'll love them even more for that :D

We humans fall in and out of love all the time...It's in our nature.  That's not to say we can't happily stay with one person for long periods of time though..we even fall in and out of love with the same person repeatedly.

No, you can fall in love many times.

I don't believe in soulmates even though I'm a hopeless romantic in other ways.  There is more than one person who is perfect for someone so don't feel like you've lost your only chance at love!  It feels like that when you split up with someone you are crazy about, but you will feel that again for someone else....they won't be a replacement, as everyone is unique...you will love them in their own unique way.

I think the whole "but i love him/her" thing is also used by people to say in relationships which are sooo obviously unhealthy!!!  Loving someone is not a good enough reason to stay with someone who treats you like dirt.....i think thinking that way is so unhealthy and stops someone finding true happiness.

i'm in love with my best friend. she's in love with my former best friend (can you guess why its former?)

i had a relationship with her and at the time she cheated on me with my former best friend (who's also a girl. this is a ****** up story) and then left me for a guy.

i was a wreck for a very long time. i was completely faithful to her even though it was a strange relationship because it was sort of secret. being in an all girls catholic school makes it a  bit difficult to come to terms with your sexuality at a young age and have a secret relationship with another girl.

till this day ive tried to stop loving her. but she is the most amazing person ive ever met. we're the best of friends although i still struggle with the memories of my past. the story is extremely long and complicated, but would make an interesting book or movie i can tell you that.

No. That's like saying you can only love one parent, or one kid, or whatever. And it also doesn't mean that if you fall in love with person X and then later with person Y that you'll just all of a sudden fall out of love with person X.
