Is it true that you get the "worst period of your life" when you start Birth Control pills?

I have just started taking orthro-tri cyclen lo and about to start the placebo pills. I heard that your first period while your on birth control is the worst ever! Is this true? What was your experience like?

  1. Honestly, I don't even remember my first period on birth control, that could tell you that it was nothing note-worthy.  


  2. Not usually, but don't rule out the possibility.

    Since you're starting your first "artificial" cycle since the pill, all bets are generally off with regard to timing, duration and severity, although as a general rule your period will be lighter, shorter and not nearly as miserable as it might otherwise be off the pill.


  3. I never had the problem.In fact it was probably the best period of

    my life because I suffered so badly from cramps etc prior to starting the b/c pills.
