  1. NO.  in fact, vistakon just completed a study on this:

what the study showed was that there was no difference in myopia progression (Rx "worsening") between wearing contacts or wearing glasses.  it makes zero difference.

the one thing that probably does slow myopia progression IMO is ortho-k:

  2. Well, I'm pretty sure that it's not true.

When people grow up, their eyes grow, too. Usually, when a person stops growing and their eyes do stop as well, the eyesight stabilizes.

Glasses and contacts just correct your eyesgiht to 20/20 so you can see better with them on. That's really all they do. They BOTH do not make your eyes better or worse because you don't strain your eyes as much with them on so your eyes can relax.

The only reason sometimes your vision gets a little worse is because your eyes are growing or your eye muscles relax more and aren't as strong.

The weakening of the eye muscles are be prevented if you let your eyes move more often and focus on objects of various distance. However the growth of your eye can't really be prevented.

    HOPE I HELPED!!!
