Is it true the Scots-Irish people are basically Irish most Scots were Scotti (Irish)?

I mean its like the Scottish went back to their roots in Ulster right, since it was the Scotti who went to Scotland & therefore came back to their roots?

  1. Wales is not Gaelic in culture or language it has a different branch of celtic language very unlike gaelic. Scotland gets its name from Scotti the latin term for the Irish. Ireland colonised western Scotland 2000 years ago and the Irish language and culture was transplanted to Scotland .Almost everything recognisably Scottish has it's origins in Ireland, tarten,  kilts, whiskey,bagpipes  ,surnames Mc,Mac.
