Is it true the UK is like America, when it comes to other races?

Here and if you go online like AOL any news about blacks its no biggie they will say something rude, but when Hispanics came here in big numbers they hated them more...giving us blacks a break lol. But they say Hispanics are taking the jobs, take up health care and so on, which is a duh moment since if any race came here in higher numbers that would take more from a country until we level off meaning back in balance. But anyway I was talking to this Irish guy who moved from Ireland to the UK and said blacks get treated badly here because a lot of them decided to move to the UK.

Is this all true?

i dont know, i guess some Black people might get treated badly but it doesnt mean every single one does. i live in the UK and in my experience there is more prejudice against Eastern Europeans such as Polish immigrants because in recent years a lot of them have illegally entered the UK and i guess they are taking up a lot of jobs. i think this problem is far more worse in Ireland because there were as many as 200,000 Polish immigrants in Ireland in 2006 making it the largest ethnic minority. i noticed this for myself when i went to Ireland on holiday last year because every other person we spoke to was Eastern European. as far as i know Black people dont get treated particularily badly because there are a lot of Black people in the UK in the first place, i didnt know that a lot of them decided to move to the UK, unless you are talking about this having happened quite a few years ago. there are also a lot of Muslim immigrants that have entered the UK in recent years such as from Pakistan and i think its this group which suffers the most prejudice because of the increasing numbers of Muslim immigrants taking up jobs in the UK which makes a lot of British people bitter that they cant get jobs whereas immigrants can...the usual story

There are some parts of the UK where there are higher concentrations of ethnic minorities. Like in London you've got a lot of black people. I think Brits have got used to black people now though; as we only seem to be complaining about the Indians/Pakistanis and Polish people now...

Anyone who isn't a WASP is likely to get treated differently- ie a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.

When I was in school, one of my friends was half black. She lived with her white mum and never saw herself as black, but the rest of the world saw her that way. I remember we went on holiday to a yachting village down the south coast of England, and people were noticeably hostile and rude towards her. Coming from Manchester, multiculturalism is just part of my world. But there are still a lot of people who draw big divides between races.

We have had a lot of polish immigration recently, but they are completely legal. Poland entered the EU in 2004, meaning that Poles could legally live and work in the UK. The attitude towards them has been disgusting, if you ask me.

I now live in Birmingham, and I teach in inner city schools where the school population is 100% Asian origin. It really upsets me how some people talk about the children- in the child's eyes, they are English- they like the same things as any other child living in this country, and yet they get treated differently for being a different skin colour.

yeah its true. muslims are taking over england!

firstly they have mosquesn secondly they have their OWN schools where only their culture can go to, thirdly they practically get free housing, cars etc when they immigrate to here from the government and council, they get all the BIG better houses and the ORIGINAL brits get the shite houses!, also they take ALL the jobs because they are willing to be paid minimum wage, so guess whos left unemployed? yeah us real british people who were BORN here, i mean this is because the world is to politically correct and l**k the arses of any race EXCEPT white people because of the whole slavery thing like a hundred years ago, and the terrorist attacks, that we suffer from  by muslims etc, the people are to scared to tell the truth because they will be called 'RACIST' i mean the white people get called the most racist things and sh*t all is done about it, because people are scared of seeming racist themselves!

and the whole black thing, nah there treated the normal, except for in places like manchester and the rough areas of london because most of them are in gangs and are killing each other everday because they THINK they are gangsters!! also stupid white boys think they are 'gangsters' to! not just black boys
