Is it true the grass and trees are a darker green color in Canada compared to the states?

I think that the warmer the climate, the more acidic the soil, which makes the color of grass more light-green to yellow as you go South.

Where as in Canada the grass is a darker shade of green whenever it isn't brown.

Is this correct?

  1. Nope.In fact, they are greener up here not darker.

  2. You mean ... is the grass really greener on the other side? :D

You know, I was actually thinking about that this morning when I was watching the grass in my garden. It does seem rather lush. But I have no basis of comparison to American grass. I just wanted to get in with my opening zinger. Didn't really plan on my withdrawal strategy.

  3. I guess so...Climb trees wherever you want. Just dont do it in public

  4. Yes, I think the grass is greener, at least in some parts of Canada - probably because of the humid and temperate climate as much as from the different soil compostion.  In the southern states I found that any grass that did grow was very difficult to maintain and often did not even look like real grass.

If you want to climb a huge tree, try a redwood in British Columbia - that would be a challenge.  If you want to hang out in the "bush" go to any rural part of Canada - northern Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada.  For bush and forests like nowhere else in the world go to Labrador - but watch out for the black flies - they could carry you away.

  5. Canada does seem greener.  And as to your climbing trees thing.  If you go north a little you could get lost in the bush for a really long time without being found.  Plenty of trees there. Climb all you want dude.  But watch out for the bears. They can climb too, eh?

  6. Id say its true as Canada is further north than America and has a different climate.
