  1. how high a wall untill we feel safe?

  2. No, in order to enlist you have to have a green card and you will earn citizenship after 3 years.

  3. No it is not true.

Non-citizens are eligible to enlist in the military but not be commissioned. A non-citizen that is eligible must: (1) Have an Alien Registration Receipt Card (stamped I-94 or I-551 Green card/INS Form 1-551), (2) Have a bona fide residence established, and (3) Have established a record of the U.S. as their home.

The federal government cannot petition on behalf of an illegal immigrant so that they can obtain legal status and be able to enlist. The illegal immigrant must go through the immigration process of the USCIS. Once the status of the illegal immigrant becomes legal they can go ahead and start the enlisting process.

Another requirement is that the Green Card and/or visa must be valid for the entire period of their enlistment.

  4. Know your facts before you answer. Anyone anywhere in the world who wants to become an American citizen can join the US military and receive an honorable discharge after a given period of service and is then A citizen.

  5. heck they are so desperate the are using criminals, like crack heads murderers and people who have been dishonorably  discharge that's how desperate they are

  6. yes its true. and that is something positive illegal aliens are doing foir our country and nobody ever talks about that.

    in fact they deny it.

  7. Maybe partially true.  You do not need to be a citizen of this country to serve in our armed forces.  In fact, the illegals who are here are supposed to register with the selective service.  There have been a few soldiers who have lost their lives in the middle east who were not citizens of the US, but who were in our military.

  8. I don't think so,illegals are not allowed in our military.

  9. No, that's totally false.

You MUST be either a US citizen or permanent resident in order to enlist in the US Armed Forces.

  10. No, that is illegal.

  11. I've heard something like this. I don't know for sure, but anything is possible.

  12. No. The military does have programs to help legal residents obtain citizenship though.
