Is it true they are replacing the joker for "the dark knight 3"?

I heard somewhere that Daniel Day Lewis was to replace the joker in the 3rd Dark Knight movie. Is this true? Not that I have something against Daniel Day Lewis, but I hope they don't I mean, I loved Heath Ledger's performance. I thought it was the best joker I've ever seen on the screen. I think replacing him will just take away the entire feel.

Noboby knows yet.....Nolan didnt say anything about the third movie he is on vacation right now so i dont think we are going to hear about part 3 in about a year or two but i hope they dont replace heath!......i think they would mess it up......i dont know how there ganna top the dark knight tho!!....

NOBODY on the face of the earth would be stupid enough to play the joker. after heath ledger anyone else would just ruin it.

I never heard about that, the dark knight was cool, but of course they have to replace with some other actor, you wont hear the news for a long time though...

well they did want to bring the joker back for number 3, but two-face was going to be the main villain. no official word yet but thats what the storyline has in plan. however, no script has been made yet and nolan hasn't announced if he's coming back for a third. but if they do make a third and nolan isn't directing it, then chrisitan bale wont return either.

Of course they have to replace the joker because Heath Ledger died. But im not sure that Daniel is going to be the next joker. I have to agree with you that the best joker ive seen so far was Heath Ledger because he was AWESOME. I also heard that Johnny Depp was going to be the next joker.
