Is it true they whiten bread using bird feathers?

My boss swears they grind down bird feathers to make white bread white and she claims she heard this from a well known breadmaker is it true or lies?

Only some bread companies.  Wonderbread does.  That's how they got their name.  People wondered what made them so white.  Turns out, it was bird feathers.  If that repulses you, stick with wheat bread.

She lies.  They just have a bleaching process they use on the grain to turn it white.
