Is it true what they say about soy?

I dont think soy milk does anything that one crazy guy says but what are the negative effects of soy?

  1. There are no negative effects of soy unless you have an allergy.

    Soy is fine, as long as it's is not over processed.  To be safe, pick the beans yourself, make your own tofu, and enjoy.

    If you are not willing or able to make your own, please just realize that you are giving up safety for the convenience of buying ready made.

  4. argh, scientist need to serious sit down somewhere because there scaring people unnecessarily look at Asia they have eaten soy for centuries and they are some of the healthiest people in the world no soy is not bad for you and we are all gonna die someday so just keep living your life while your here and you never die the way you think just remember that

There are both good and bad aspects of soy.  Some studies have shown that large amounts of processed soy products (tofu,  TVP, etc) may be harmful to your health, but at about 3 servings a day are deemed safe.  The thing is that the processes to get the concentrated proteins out of soy uses harmful chemicals and temperatures that bring out the "bad" elements in soy.  However, fermented soy products such as miso and tempeh are 100% safe and good for you.  Also, always be sure that your soy products are organic because soy is now one of the most genetically altered products around today.  Basic good rule: everything in moderation, so enjoy but be smart.  :)
