Is it true you can go on the internet from a Wii?!?

Yes it is true, but I think u need a wireless router to connect to it. My cousin has one and he always goes on the internet with it.

Just messin'. Yeah, you can go on the intrawebz with the Wii with the purchase of the internet channel for 500 wii points (or $5)

But your Wii must be connected to the internet with a wired or wireless solution. An ethernet adapter must be bought for an ethernet cable, but a wireless router is all you need for wireless internet. Just a little setup and configuration and that's all. Pretty easy.

As for the quality of the product, it works but it can't open multiple windows and doesn't not show all flash videos. It serves it's purpose but it isn't the best browser out there. I have it and will occasionally use it to play some flash game made specifically for the Wii through the internet. Pretty neat stuff.

So to answer your questions:

As for how, connect your Wii to the internet and then use the Wii shop channel to buy the browser.

Yeah, you can. You need to buy the Internet Channel for 500 Wii Points from the Shop Channel. It's pretty cool, really. A lot like your web browser that you're using now.
