  1. I agree with Rae and that is what I would've said but he did it first.

  2. if they are strained you dont have to stop but why wouldnt you..thinking what if it was your mom there.. you know...  and if it was a car wreck you can get a big fine for not stopping to help that is a law to render help.. you kind of got to use your judgement on to stop or not.. you know little old man and lady maybe..... yes.... looks like  a drug out freak maybe not  but you can still make a call and let someone know

  3. If you mean an unmarked police car. you do not have to stop you need to signal the car with your lights then drive to a police station or a public place..............

  4. Failure to stop immediately is, at the very least, a traffic violation, and could easily be a felony. If you feel it is not a real cop, you must make your choices and live with the consequences.

Calling 911 will not usually do any good but they could send another cop to your location. If you call 911 from a cell phone, the call will usually go to the police agency that covers the location of the cell tower.

For example, if you called from my town, the call could be answered by any of almost a dozen agencies depending on what tower your phone was communicating with. Only one or two would have access to our radio frequencies. The other towns would have no idea where my units were or what they were doing.

Many jurisdictions have a central 911 dispatch center that answers for several agencies (police, fire, ems, etc.). One 911 center near me answers for about 8 towns. These centers frequently are not involved in routine matters and only pass along information (by phone) to the proper agency when they receive an emergency call. I received an ambulance call like this today. Another agency received the cell call and relayed it to us via landline telephone.

  5. if someone is broken down on the side of the road you

can slow down and tell you are calling for help

if you are flag down by someone who you think is a police officer

you can request them radio for marked unit (also ask

to see  their  ID (not just the badge )

  6. If you feel the unmarked car is not legit,   drive slowly with right turn signal on to indicate you are not running.   Call 911 and ask if there is an officer trying to stop a car at your location.   If you feel in danger,  roll the window down only enough to hand your license through the crack.  Be sure to explain clearly your actions.

  7. What, you mean like refuse to pick people up? You don't have to do anything if you don't want to, only if it's the police, when they say stop they mean stop o.o Personally, I'd be too scared to, with all the crazy stuff that goes on these days.

  8. Yes..................but you must call 911 right away and give them your location so that the dispatcher can see if in fact they have a patrol car that is in that area and if so they will instruct you to drive to a location that is either lighted or as more visibility and the dispatcher will also tell this to the patrol officer as well and if not the dispatcher will send a patrol car to help you out......

  9. Well, you certainly cant refuse, because thats illegal. But like that one woman said, you can call 911 and ask if its an actual police officer behind you.

If you dont have a cell phone, you can drive to the nearest police station or firehouse and park right in front where all the lights are. You definitely will not got in trouble for this, as long as when you drive, weather on the phone or not, just drive at a reasonable speed. Dont like drive super fast like you're trying to get away

You're very smart to be asking this. There are many women who have been raped and/or murdered by men impersonating a police officer in an unmarked car. Be safe and good luck.

  10. you mean an unmarked police car? you cannot REFUSE, what you have to do is call 911 or the police department from your cell phone and tell them where you are and ask if there is an umarked unit in that area. if they say yes, then its ok to stop. Or you must immediately drive to a more public and populated place, like a busy parking lot or a place where there are more people.

  11. You don't ever have to stop for any car anywhere, except at a stop sign or a stop light.

If you're driving down a lonely road why would you think you'd have to stop for anyone?
