Is it true you do not have to pay income tax on your labor?

That the constitution states there shall be no such tax? That a persons labor is and even exchange and is not taxable? Please advise

    Elvis is still alive, and performing marriage ceremonies in Las Vegas.

    It is unconstitutional for the government to tax your wages (income tax), the 16th amendment was never ratified, and most of what we think of as income isn't really income anyway.

    Excuse me now....I just won 2 million pounds in the online UK lottery when my email was randomly selected, and I have to go answer the email.....

  2. If you exchange labor for money that is taxable.  Your statement has been before the courts many times and the courts have always held that it is taxable.

    If you exchange your labor for goods or services, this is called bartering and it is also taxable.

    No one likes to pay taxes, but the penalties and interest are very stiff on your position.

  5. No that is not true.  If you are in a personal service business such as an accountant or a lawyer whose income is based on the number of hours put on a job and you charge a fee, you must pay taxes on that income.
